For the past few years I have been on St Simons Island for a weekend over spring break with people from my church. It’s an amazing weekend and I really look forward to it each year. One of our favorite places while we are there is the light house. There is a beautiful sense of history here. This door knob at the top of the light house has seen more history than I will in my lifetime. I wonder how many hands have opened that door and how many ships have been guided safely home by the light those hands maintained.
