Making art
My definition of art contains three elements:
- Art is made by a human being.
- Art is created to have an impact, to change someone else.
- Art is a gift. You can sell the souvenir, the canvas, the recording… but the idea itself is free, and the generosity is a critical part of making art.
By my definition, most art has nothing to do with oil paint or marble. Art is what we’re doing when we do our best work.

Cooliris | Discover More

As a photographer I am constantly exploring the work of other photographers. I seek new ideas, challenges and inspiration. One of the ways I recently discovered to browse images online is a plug-in for Safari (or other web browsers) called Cooliris. It is an amazing way to view images. It pulls all the images from a page and creates a 3d wall of images to view, zoom and browse.
I highly recommend this if you are going to browse images and would like to clear the background away and be able to focus on what is most important, the images.
