I love doing portraits in locations that are important to the couple. John and Jennifer went to school together and spent many hours during their years together walking and enjoying this park together. It is a place filled with their history. John even chose to pop the question on a deck there overlooking a huge grass flat at sunset.

This is another photo painting I have been working on recently. The expressive options of painting within a photograph are marvelous. I am definitely going to continue exploring this with some of my other clients.

Robin Snyder - Rigger Family Portrait Sessions

Somewhere along the line a photographer I worked with taught me to understand family portraits as a series of individual and group portraits. Many people approach a family as just on large group image. In reality there is such a wide variety of personalities and styles that make up that family. I like to work with individuals in the family, sections of the family and the whole group to tell the story of the family as a whole. It makes for much more interesting options in terms of prints on the walls, books that can be created and other ideas that might not have been dreamed up yet.

I love this portrait of Katherine. She is such a beautiful bride and there is just a simple elegance with everything about her. Being a part of her wedding was such a blessing to me. As an artist I truly love the idea that Katherine will be telling the story of her wedding to her grandchildren using the images we created in her album.

    Jordon's Senior Portraits

Senior portraits are such an amazing experience. It is a time when anything is possible, opportunities far outweigh the barriers and the joy of youth and the possibilities of adulthood collide. I love making these portraits for students. It is a piece of their history worth holding on to and cherishing. Because of that, I photograph seniors very differently. A senior session last most of a day with studio time at home with several changes of clothes and time on location in places that are important to the student. It makes for beautiful images and lasting memories.

    Thanks Jordyn!

I was recently commissioned to create business portraits for the PMSI. What an amazing team. I love projects like this where I have an opportunity to meet and photograph people from all over the country. Working with people who are engaged in excellence in their field is always a great experience.
