Amy in a Moment of Peace

The pace of a wedding day is really quite surreal. There is so much going and so many details to attend to that these moments of quiet are so very powerful. Others in the room were attending to the details and Amy caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror and saw herself in her veil. For that one moment everything in the world stopped for her and it took her breath away.

I really love what I do. Being a part of these moments and saving them to share for generations is such a high calling for me as a photographer.

    Lori's Final Preparations

Lori and her maid of honor are making their final touches under her mother’s watchful eye just moments before walking down the aisle.

I love the sense of surprise that can be created in images by finding a new angle or a different way of looking at things. Often times I will start creating an image in a traditional way and then begin looking for new ways to see and experience the moment in a new way that captures a different sense of the emotions at work.

I love this portrait of Katherine. She is such a beautiful bride and there is just a simple elegance with everything about her. Being a part of her wedding was such a blessing to me. As an artist I truly love the idea that Katherine will be telling the story of her wedding to her grandchildren using the images we created in her album.
